W. Family Christmas Dinner

This past Tuesday was our W. family dinner.  Over 60 people were there, ranging in age from a few months to over 96!  A number of people were away or sick, but if everybody had come, there would have been 69 people altogether.

Thank you to my father for these pictures - we did bring our camera but for whatever reason we never took any pictures.  (Except one or two below which I took on Dad's camera too).

This event is held in the school gym, so there's lots of room for the littles to run around.  Here is Erik contemplating a jump.

Alex and Jon are playing a riveting game of checkers - I think checkers is Alex's new favourite game.

Uncle John and I - we're back to just being uncle and niece - we're not fellow employees anymore. :)

Time to eat!  Lots and lots of yummy food - thank you everyone!  Especially to Aunt Trudy this year, for organizing it all.

Cleanup - many hands truly do make light work.  Besides, it is kind of fun in such a big group.

Esther is quite enamoured with Uncle Rob, or is that that other way around?

Some of the girls relaxing on the big pillow mat - fun to see Oma talking to everyone!

Andrea and Joel arm-wrestling...

...apparently being an anesthesiologist is not good for one's arm-wrestling strength and technique...or else Joel was going easy on his niece! :)

Next up was Uncle Rick, at which point Andrea must have also bribed the camera-man because I'm quite sure Uncle Rick won but there's no photographic evidence - haha!

It was an enjoyable time, and we're so thankful that Oma is still here and able to join in the festivities.
