I don’t write much about our infertility on this blog. There’s lots of reasons for that. A couple of the reasons are that, first of all, there’s a lot about this struggle that we prefer to keep private. Secondly, when I do write about it, it seems to me that the posts are me/us looking for a pity party. That is not the case. True, infertility is hard. But this is the path God has chosen for us, and we strive to press on, trusting in His sovereignty.
On the flip side, in not writing about it often, I wonder if I am presenting a skewed view into our lives, in not sharing much about this very large (and not easy) part of our lives.
All that to say, that Thelma wrote a beautiful post earlier this week, that I really would like to share with you. As Thelma so eloquently wrote, it is not just those dealing with infertility who have hurts, but many people have many different hurts. Click here to read her post.
A blessed Christmas to you all!

Hi Karen,
I so enjoy your blog regardless of the subject matter. I agree, it can be a difficult balance. I wouldn't change a thing about my life, but sometimes I can get sad about these circumstances and I want to speak to that as well. How do you properly convey that distinction? I don't have the answers (clearly). Anyway, it's lovely to "know" you.
Hi Karen,
Thanks for the link! I know how hard it can be - praying for you and Rob!
