In early September there was an airshow at the local airport. It was on a weekday, so Rob and I could not go. However, just as we were sitting down for supper, we heard some planes fly over. Rob ran outside, and we quickly decided to eat out doors - it was a lovely warm evening.
From our back porch we could see some of the airshow's 'grand finale' - the Snowbirds! It is hard to take pictures - difficult to find the aircraft in the camera's viewer, but I did manage a couple reasonable pictures.
Quite the treat to see the Snowbirds from our back porch - right over our house, really!

There's all sorts of excitement going on in your backyard lately! This move was clearly a good idea! :)
We get the same treat when the airshow comes our way b/c the airport is just around the corner. We usually pull up our lawnchairs and enjoy the show from the comfort of our backyard . . . and don't have to deal with crowds, parking, money, bathroom breaks etc. It's all very convenient:)
