A Family Camping

Rob and I went camping last week, Thursday to Saturday, with almost all of Rob's family.

Seeing as we came home Saturday, and Rich & Cher stayed until today, I really must beat Cher in putting up some pictures of the event :)

Rob and I awoke early on Thursday, loaded everything into the trailer and the pickup, and we were on the road by 7:30 AM.  We borrowed my parents trailer, and it was so nice to have a trailer.  Although we do have a tent, I'm not sure it is going to see a lot more use!  Since Rob's parents have a trailer too...surely one of them will always be available to borrow!

The weather on Thursday was warm and sunny for the first part of the day, but later in the afternoon, as we were at the beach, we saw the storms come in.  It was very impressive to see the storms over the water.  It then did rain/storm for most of the evening.

However, Friday morning we awoke to sunshine, and a lovely dry day.

There were a lot of spider webs in the trees...I'm no spider fan, but these webs are so impressive!  What a marvelous Creator!

A few snapshots of some of our nieces and nephews...

One of Rob's cousins and his family happened to be camping at the Park, so as they were leaving, we asked the A. men to line up.  Definitely some family resemblance, eh?

At first, Isaac was lining up with the guys...he couldn't quite master crossing his arms though!

I just thought this was a nice shot of Mom, with Matthew...full of smiles caused by Isaac.

On Friday night, we had a BBQ/wiener roast together, and picked up a cake for some anniversary celebrations.

We also took some pictures of the group, another camper kindly offered to take the pictures (on 4 different cameras!)

It seems that Corin missed the memo that this was a "serious" picture. :)

It was really nice to get away for a couple days, and wonderful to spend some quality time with Rob's family. This camping trip was planned earlier this year, to celebrate Dad & Mom A's 40th wedding anniversary, and we're so thankful we had it planned, now that Rich and Cher and family are moving to Manitoba!
