A Pretty Winter

It has been a very pretty winter with all the snow so far. Last week, on Boxing Day, I went for a walk by our house, and had to go home to get the camera, because the ice/snow on all the trees and weeds was so pretty!

This is the path behind our house - it doesn't look like the middle of a subdivision, does it! We really enjoy the greenbelt behind our home.

It is hard to see the ice on this plant, but it is there. I think it is called 'hoarfrost'.

Then, this morning, New Year's Day, we woke up to another snowfall - very wet snow that stuck to everything - even the fence behind our house.

On an unrelated topic, Lisa and I gave Alex a Jolly Jumper for Christmas, and he's taken quite a liking to it - at least, as long as someone is with him when he jumps. But he's got the jumping idea well in hand!
