A couple weeks ago I noticed in the grocery flyers and in the stores that all the spring flowers were on sale - tulips and daffodils. I do like snow storms, but I also start hankering for spring pretty early. Although I didn't add a bright yellow daffodil to my grocery cart the other week, I do have a lovely spring flower in our home!
Last week we had the post-Christmas-program meeting with Martin & Alice and Alice brought me this plant. A lovely surprise, especially as this week it has opened up into a beautiful pink flower and it smells so good!
The blizzard of this week did seem to be a little over-hyped, as I expected, although we did get quite a bit of snow. My estimate is about 8 inches, but it is really hard to tell as there was a fair bit of drifting too. Now that we've had a big winter storm, welcome spring!
