Well, me and a few others....
She toured RIM and she and her entourage went right by our office on their way to and from the airport. After the first time by, Denise & Bob, my co-workers, posted a couple pictures. I overheard that she was to go back to the airport about 40 minutes later, so when that time came (it was near lunch time), I thought I'd go outside. Besides, the A/C at work is rather over-zealous, and I need to go outside periodically to thaw out.
I saw Denise outside already, so I joined her, and learned that the Queen's motorcade was to come by in about 4 minutes. A policeman was directing traffic through the intersection. (My office building is at a T-intersection. If you drive straight through the T, you would drive into our building. As someone did, a little over a year ago :)). On her return journey, the Queen's motorcade would come to the intersection and turn left (not going straight through and driving into our building).
At first, the policeman was just letting people go as the stoplight dictated, but very soon, he stopped all traffic on the through street, and eventually forced all cars to turn right, as the Queen would be going left.
Then, there they were. First, several police on motorcycles and in cars, then a long line of limos. Probably about 10 in total, and a white van. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were in the third limo; the license plate was red with a crown symbol, so it was easy to know which car was hers. As that vehicle rounded the corner, we could see her very clearly, as she was on the passenger side of the car; we waved; she waved!
Denise tried to get a picture, but it turned out to be just a big glare on the car window.
So, the only pictures I have are these, from the incoming trip, and they are courtesy of Denise and/or Bob.
This is the limo Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were in, on the way to RIM.
That was my excitement for today!
