Peter & Alida's Wedding

Saturday, October 6 was Pete & Alie's wedding day. It was a wonderful day. The weather worked out perfect, even though it did rain. When Alie, Joyce, Elizabeth & I were at the hairdresser, getting our hair done, it was raining, just pouring. But by the time we were ready to go, it had stopped raining, and we could easily get to our cars without getting wet. It was a hot day, but we could still have the pictures outside. While doing pictures, it looked like it would rain again, but the clouds blew away, and we stayed dry.

After getting our hair done, we returned to our house to get dressed, and have a bite to eat. The photographers came around 11:30, and took a number of pictures. Mindy the cat managed to get herself onto a number of them, although I have a feeling the photographer may "photoshop" her out!

The ceremony started at 12:30, and Pastor John VanEyk had an awesome message on Colossians 3:12-14. He discussed who we are - the elect of God, holy, beloved, and thus how we should act -with kindness, humility, meekness, patience, and above all love.

The reception was enjoyed by all - a few skits & games, some singing, and amazing food!

All in all, it was an awesome day, and Rob and I are just so happy for Peter & Alida. Marriage is a wonderful gift that God has given to us, and we are so thankful that He has brought them together. To Him be the glory!

Here's a picture of the three girls, myself, Joyce & Elizabeth. Joyce & Elizabeth are Alie's nieces.

And a couple pictures of Rob & I.
